Muscles Worked
The main movement is plantar flexion of the ankle: the heels rise as the user pushes through the forefoot. The gastrocnemius and soleus do most of the work, with smaller lower-leg and foot muscles helping to stabilise the ankle. Because the knees stay relatively straight, the gastrocnemius contributes substantially to force production. The raised platform lets the heels drop below the forefoot for a greater range of motion, depending on the user's mobility and control.
